The organizers of the BC Classic and Custom Car show hit pay dirt again when they had the Legendary George Barris - “King of Kustomizers” and Chip Foose of “Foose Designs” and star of “Overhaulin’” at the show again this year. Now, it wasn’t from my time but I’ve been told by many car aficionados that George Barris was THE original customizer. He is known for his “Batmobile, Munster Koatch, Fireball, General Lee and many many more. He truly makes works of art that astonish young and old. He also has a penchant for nice boots, or as he would say “Super Boots!”
Chip was the perfect gracious and generous gentleman that he always is and went above and beyond in being their for his fans. As before, the line-up to meet Chip was from morning until night and he never rushed his time with his autograph seekers, he made sure that everyone felt welcome and special. Throughout the walls of the Tradex it echoed “What a great guy. Really cool, easy to talk to and super talented”. His designs are beyond simple explanation. Let’s just say “Holy Smack - Amazing!!!”
